Singer / Songwriter Nick Cave (Yes - of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds fame!) has written and scored The Proposition, an incredible film to be released in the U.S. at the beginning of May.

The U.K. site for the movie is actually a little better than the U.S. one, but either way you’ll get the drift.

This equal parts morality play and homage to the Old-time Scots Irish musical tradition of murder ballads is stunningly set in the Australian Outback of the 1880’s. The music is haunting, the direction superb, the suspense palpable.
